Team 54's Vote Chess Strategy

Have you noticed how well our vote chess team has been preforming? After winning 6 of it's last 7 games, the team has be catapulted to 34th place on the leaderboard. Just like our match play team, our vote chess team is also in position to take the lead.

We've been keeping 30 games in progress which could get us to the top 10; however, we would continue to lose ground to the very elite teams, THE POWER OF CHESS, and CHESS SOCIETY. Because these teams maintain around 100 and 75 games respectively. We can catch these teams because we have a higher winning percentage, but not without increasing our workload.

Hence, the team's strategy is to increase the number of games kept in progress. I would like to double the amount but that not feasible given our team's lack of interest for vote chess. Therefore, we will gradually increase our games while encouraging team participation. Each time a game is completed, we will start up two games; we've recently completed 3 games so we will add back 6 to total 33 games in process.

With that said, all comments are welcome, so let's hear them!

Here are some great points that I borrowed from another group I am in. I think they are good guidelines for a sound strategy in Vote Chess.

1) All team members to turn on tracking in the comments section.

2) NO vote should be made that was not discussed in the comments. If you like a move, post and explain why.

3) No vote should be made until 24 hours or less remain

4) Wait for the stronger players to evaluate candidate moves before voting. You still get to vote for whatever you want, but let’s have the DISCUSSION FIRST.

5) After voting, EVERY MEMBER should post the vote count, so members who have not yet voted can see candidate moves and the vote situation!
