A lesson in chessboard geometry - A straight line in chess is not necessarily the shortest distance between two squares. This composition by Black__Knight is a variation of Reti's famous 1922 endgame composition, "revealing with limited material the complexities that some pawn endings can contain" (GM Paul Keres).
